Mrs John Schmer

Mrs Ethan Whitsel received the sad news that her sister, Mrs Jon Schmer of Harvard had passed away at a hospital at Sutton early Monday morning. She had been very ill for the past month suffering with peritonitis. She leaves to mourn her loss besides a heartbroken husband, two sons, Bobby, three years of age and a tiny infant son, John Denny, eight sisters; Mrs Ervin Branstitre of Edgar; Mrs Charles Veith of Bayard; Mrs Earl Hedges, of Ottawa, Iowa; Mrs Hugh Seibel of Omaha; Mrs Harry Smith of Lincoln; Mrs James Hattan of Edgar; Mrs Wilbur Willcock of Doniphan, Mrs Ethan Whitesel of Kenesaw and two brothers Guy Bird of Stockham and Ray Bird of Inland. She died at the age of 32 years, 1 month and 8 days. Funeral services were held at the home at Harvard at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday.
