On June 10, 1924, she was united in marriage to Ervin F. Branstitre of Edgar, Nebraska, where she spent the remaining 25 years of her live, making many friends and endearing herself to all who knew her.

Besides her husband, she leaves to mourn her passing, two sons, Vivian of Baltimore, Maryland and Floyd of Lincoln, Nebraska; five sisters, Edna Hattan of Angus, Nellie Wilcox of Doniphan, Belle Whitsel of Kenesaw, Doris Hedges of Newton, Iowa, and Cleo Bird of Washington, two brothers, Ray Birds of Geneva and Guy Bird of National City, California, four grandchildren, four great grandchildren, many nieces and newphews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Beyond Life's Gateway
There's an open gate,
At the end of the road,
Through which each must go alone
And there in a light we cannot see,
Our father claims his own,
Beyond the gate your loved one
Finds happiness and rest,
And there is comfort in the though*
That a loving God knows best.

Funeral services were held at the Angus U. B. church (sic),
Monday, December 26, 1949, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. F. J. Aucock of Edgar in charge.

Mrs. Ortha Skinner, Mrs. Ivan King, Mrs. Merton McCartney and Mrs. Archie Melvin sang "Face to Face". "Beyond the Sunset" and "Under His Wings", Mrs. Charles Skinner was at the piano.
