Clint Adams Jr., 85, Calvin Drive, died at 11:25 a.m. Friday, Nov. 26, 2004, at Hearthstone Place, Elkton, following an illness.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Hillcrest Baptist Church, with Greg Giltner, Bill Houpt and Earl Grace officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 tonight at Lamb Funeral Home.

A native of Trigg County, he was born Feb. 15, 1919. He was the son of the late Clint and Icye Belle Mitchell Adams. He was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church and had been a retired pastor, having pastored at Locust Grove, Kelly and Buffalo Lick Baptist churches in Christian County and Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Caldwell County. He also had been a former assistant manager at Kroger and worked at Max Arnold's Chevron service station on Ninth Street. He was an Army veteran of World World II, where he attained the rank of sergeant. His wife, Georgia Clark Adams, died in 1991. A daughter, Peggy Sharon Adams, died in 1948.

Survivors include a son, Clifton Owen Adams, Madisonville; a daughter, Evelyn Sue Adams, Clarksville, Tenn.; a brother, William L. Adams, Princeton; a sister, Lillian Adams Stone, Waxahaehie, Texas; and three grandchildren.
