Charles was a former employee of Chrysler, Servel and Briggs. He retired from Brake Supply after 28 years as a salesman. He served in the United States Army during World War II where he trained Scout Dogs at Ft. Robinson, Nev. He was an avid fan of UK basketball and St. Louis Cardinals baseball. True to his upbringing on a farm near Cadiz, Ky., he spent many hours gardening. He was known by his family for his delicious tomatoes. He was a Christian who was devoted to his wife and family.
