======
Mary Ellen (Mayme) Kellogg was born March 14th, 1876 near Lakenan, Missouri. She was never married. We all loved her very much. She was sick a lot when small and had very little schooling. Since I can remember she took care of the milk, strained into large crocks and kept in the nice cool cellar. Aunt Mayme also raised the chickens. She loved to do these things and practically lived for springtime. She took awfully good care of Grandmother until her death. Aunt Mayme died in 1948, she spent her last few years with Aunt Blanche.
