HOWARD CARSWELL:
Funeral services for Howard (Dutch) Carswell, were held at the Schroeder Funeral Home. Boone, Iowa Tuesday, April 4th 1961, at 2pm. with Rev. L. Stanley Schmidt, Officiating, La Verne Alsin sang the Hymn, "Beyond the Sunset" accompanied by Mrs Lewis Ross.
Pallbearers were members of the American Legion. Burial was at the Linwood Park cemetery.
Howard (Dutch) Carswell was born Nov 5, 1895, and died March 31, 1961, in CA; at the age of 65 years.
He was united in marriage to Pearl Sowby, at Sioux City, Iowa, in 1920 and to this reunion one son and two daughters were born.
Mr. Carswell a veteran of World War I, was preceded in death by his parents, his widow, and a brother Joe Carswell, and two baby sisters.
Survivors include two brothers, Frank Carswell of Kansas City, MO; William Carswell of Boone, Iowa, a sister Adah of Kansas City, MO. three children, Mrs Marjorie Voss of CA, Mrs Jenette Riggs of Germany, and Howard Carswell of Carroll, Iowa.
