KANSAS CITY PAPER, Friday, 7 October 1977.
WILLIAM E. CARSWELL, 89, died Wednesday at a nursing home at 4700 Cliff View Dr. Riverside, Missouri where he made his home. He was born in Boone, Iowa, and had lived here two years. Mr Carswell was an Army veteran of World War I. He was a member of the Elks Lodge. He was a member of the Boone United Methodist Church. He leaves a brother Mr & Mrs Frank Carswell and a sister Mr & Mrs Andrew Smith both of Kansas City, Missouri. Services will be at 1pm. today at the McGilley Midtown Chapel and at 2:30pm, at the graveside at the National Cemetery, Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas.
