Miss Mary McAnulty was born in Berks county Pennsylvania, January 9, 1828 and died July 16, 1911. When fourteen years of age she joined the Methodist church at Old Forest, now St. Paul. Her life work was to do for others. In 1865 she came west to Toledo, Iowa which has been her home since. She leaves to mourn her loss, one sister, Mrs. Kathrine Rhodes and two brothers, W. H. and W. A. McAnulty of Toledo. The sister, Mrs. Rhodes was with her and cared for her during the last year and a half. The funeral was held at the home in the northwest part of town, at one o’clock on Tuesday afternoon. Rev. Roscoe Sires had charge of the services and gave a very appropriate sermon. The quartet which furnished the music for the services was made up of Miss Mary T. Louthan, Mrs. C. D.
