Lizton - Charles Shockley, Sr., died at his home in Speedway City, Friday. He was born near Lizton in 1862 and lived here until about twelve years ago. He was a member of the local Christian church. Funeral services in charge of the Revs. Omer Dale and Awbrey Moore, were held here Sunday afternoon with burial in the Jamestown cemetery. He leaves the widow and four sons, James, William, Orville and Charles, Jr.

Charles D. Shockley, 75 years old, a resident of Marion county 12 years, died Thursday (Nov. 4, 1937) in his home on the Crawfordsville road near Speedway City.
Mr. Shockley was born in Hendricks county. Survivors are the widow, Mrs. Nevada Drake Shockley; four sons, W. C. Shockley and James I. Shockley, both of Indianapolis, Orville Shockley of Clermont and Charles W. Shockley of Jamestown, and a sister, Mrs. Mary E. Dale of Jamestown.
Funeral services will be held at 1 o'clock tomorrow afternoon in the home of a son, James I. Shockley, 1807 Kessler boulevard, and at 2:15 o'clock in the Christian Church at Lizton. Burial will be at Jamestown.
