Orville L. Shockley, native of Lizton, suffered a fatal heart attack, May 13, while visiting his brother, Rev. James I. Shockley, R.R. 3, Danville.
He was 68 years old. A retired inspector for the New York Central Railroad,he resided at 7330 West 34th Street, Indianapolis. He was a railroader for 42 years prior to his retirement. He was a member of the Clermont Christian
Church, Bridgeport Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, Knights of Pythias,Redmen's Lodge, Order of the Eastern Star and Lo 12 Club. He was a past president of the Penn Central Square Club and a charter member of the Clermont Lions Club. An avid sportsman, he attended many sports events,
including most of the 500 mile races.

Funeral services were Friday afternoon from the Conkle Speedway Funeral
Home. Burial was in the Brownsburg Cemetery.
