A 62 year old Greene County live stock farmer was found dead in a cornfield at his farm on Paragould Route 6 Wednesday night. A coroner's jury ruled the death due to natural causes, apparently a heart attack. The body of Frank Clune of W. Mueller was found about 9 p.m. by two Fairview Community neighbors, Stanis Gruel and Leonard Hill. The livestock farmer had gone to the farm early Wednesday to perform several chores. When he failed to return home by 5 p.m. relatives drove to the farm and discovered the body. After the body was removed, a coroner's jury was impaneled by Greene County Corner L.B. Burroughs, Jr., and an inquest was held at the Mitchell Funeral Home. Investigating officers included sheriff Chester Shirley and State Trooper Joe Cosner. A native of Burkettsville, Ohio he had been ill health for several years. Serving with the American Expeditionary Forces during World War I, he was among victims of a "gas" attack in France. In recent years he had engaged in livestock farming and resided on W. Mueller St. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Emma Clune; and four daughters, Mrs. Luella Boatman of Dallas, Texas, Mrs. Mae Black of Spokane, Wash., Mrs. Delores Morrow of Paragould and Miss Joyce Clune, a student at Holy Angels Academy at Jonesboro. Funeral services will be held at 9 o'clock Saturday morning at St. Mary's Catholic Church by Msgr. Joseph M. Hollinger, with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery by the Mitchell Funeral Home.
