Bernard, 85, Burkettsville, died at 8:50, at St. Elizabeth Hospital due to kidney complications. He had been receiving treatment at the time of his death.

He was a son to Gerhard and Mary Ann (Ungruhn) Clune. On May 12, 1876, in St. Sebastian, he married Elizabeth Brockman, who preceded him in death. On Jun 12, 1888, in St. Sebastian, he married Josephine Bolszinger, who survived him.

Also surviving are seven sons, Henry, and Albert, both Dayton, Ben, Blytheville, AK, Joe, Charlestown, MA, Frank, Paragould, AR, Anthony, Burkettsville, and Alex, North Star; seven daughters, Mary Landis, Sophia Woeste, Clara Schaefer, Christine Winhoven, all Dayton, Elizabeth Keller, Ft. Recovery, Rosa Schwieterman, Guadalupe, and Florentine Tumbusch, Saint Henry; a brother, George, Minster; forty-four grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

Deceased are a son; a daughter; three brothers; and four sisters.

He was a retired farmer. He spent his entire life in this vicinity with the exception of ten years, which he spent in Arkansas. In 1928 he retired from his duties on the farm and moved to the village of Burkettsville. He was a devout member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church and also a member of the Men's Society of that parish. He died well fortified with the last sacraments of the church of
his faith at the age of 85 years, two months and twenty days.

Funeral services were held at St. Bernard's Catholic Church, Burkettsville, with Rev. Fr. Dennis Schweitzer officiating at the Requiem High Mass.
