Alvis Anderson, 59, Wilmar
WILLMAR-Funeral services were scheduled for 10 a.m. today at St. Mary's Catholic Church for Alvis E. Anderson, 59, who died Tuesday at Rice Memorial Hospital.
The Rev. Steve Verhelst is officiating. Burial is in the parish cemetery.
Arrangements were made by Peterson Brothers Funeral Home in Wilmar.
Alvis Anderson was born June 25, 1933, in Dawson to Hjalmar and Edith Anderson. He married Betty Grengs April 18, 1953, in Canby and the couple lived in Canby and Madison before moving to Wilmar in 1964. He was a 33-year member of United Association of Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 308, working for various contractors as a pipefitter. For the past 15 years, he was a foreman for the American Industrial Refrigeration Co. of Atwater. He was a member of Eagle Lodge and St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife; daughter, Mrs. Terry (Deborah) O'Keefe, St. Cloud; mother, Dawson; sisters and brothers, Adelia Plinske, Chaska; DeVonne Listrude, Rockford, Ill.; DeLaine Tisdale, East Annole, Ga.; JoAnn Olson, Chaska; Kenneth, Madison; Palmer, Watertown, S.D.; Milton, Anoka; and Richard, Chanhassen.
He was preceded in death by his father and three brothers.
