Loving wife, mother and grandmother DeVonne E. Listerud, 75, of Rockford, Illinois, passed away at 5:20 p.m. Sunday, October 22, 2006, in Rosewood Care Center, resulting from ALS, surrounded by family. She was born January 29, 1931, in Dawson, Minnesota, daughter of Edith (Carlson) and Hjalmer Anderson.
DeVonne was a resident of Rockford since 1955, coming here from Minnesota. She married Morris Donald Listerud in Chicago, Illinois on September 5, 1952.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She retired from Pierce Packaging in 1996. She was a very loving person, opening her heart and door for many in need. She enjoyed crocheting, and her cats, but most of all, her family and family events.
She is survived by: children, Robert (Carol) Listerud, Donna (Steve) VanDenBusch, Donald (Jacque) Listerud, Daniel and Dennis Listerud, and Teri (Paul) Benjamin; 22 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; brothers, Palmer (Waneta) Milton (Bev), and Richard; sisters, Adelia, DeLaine and Joann.
Predeceased by: parents; husband, Morris; son, Kevin; great-granddaughter, Destiny; and brothers, Kenneth, Alvis, Donavin, Roger and James.
