Palmer C. Anderson was born on July 16, 1929, to Hjalmer and Edith (Carlson) Anderson in Dawson, MN. He completed his GED and served 2 years in the Army National Guards. He married Waneta Livermore on March 2, 1949 in Canby, MN. The couple moved to Watertown, SD, where Palmer worked for Standard Oil and General Mills Feed. He later went on to work at Montgomery Wards as a sales manager for over 26 years. He also spent 10 years working for Smith Equipment before his retirement.
Palmer was a member of First Congregational Church of Christ for many years, and was also one of the founding members of the Vintiques Car Club. In his spare time, Palmer enjoyed repairing watches as a hobby.
Palmer is survived by his wife, Waneta, Watertown, SD, his son, Lawrence (Elizabeth) Anderson, Florence, SC; a grandson, Jason (Ceci) Anderson, Chula Vista, CA; great-granddaughter, Madison Anderson; two brothers, Milton (Beverly) Anderson , Coon Rapids, MN, Richard Anderson, Chanhassen, MN; and two sisters, Joann Olson, Chaska, MN and Delaine Tisdsle, Demorest, GA.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers: Donnie, James, Roger, Alvis and Kenneth; and two sisters, Adelia and DeVone.
