Brodie Lee Melton (Obituary)
Henderson, TN: Services for Brodie Lee Melton, 59, were to be held this afternoon at 3:00 p.m. at Hopewell Baptist Church, Rev. Arnie Blankenship officiating. Burial was to be in Hopewell Cemetery, Casey Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Melton died in Talmadge Hospital in Augusta, GA Tuesday. The body arrived by rail this morning.
Mr. Melton was born and reared in Chester County, son of the late Hiram and Fronnie Lee Melton. He was a dairyman and farmer here until 1957 when he moved to Georgia, where he had been employed in a service station until he became ill six weeks ago.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Lutie Bullman Melton and a son, Shelbon Melton of Augusta, GA; three brothers, J. C. Melton of Henderson; Will Melton of Medon and John Melton of Rock Island, IL; two sisters, Mrs. Allen Carroll and Mrs. Jimmie James of Henderson; and one grandchild.
