Born Jan. 21, 1927, in Meyer, Ill., Mr. Emery was a son of Thomas and Gladys Littleton Emery. He married Mary Ann Orndorff Jan. 24, 1948, in Palmyra. She died Oct. 4, 1985.
Mr. Emery worked for Electric Wheel Co. in Quincy for many years and later drove trucks for Thompson Trucking and Leeser Transportation. He was a member of Mount Olivet United Methodist Church in Taylor, and had served in the Army Air Force during World War II.
Survivors include two daughters, five brothers, a sister, and three granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Kenneth Emery.
Services were conducted this morning in Mount Olivet United Methodist Church in Taylor. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Church Cemetery. The Lewis Brothers Funeral Chapel in Palmyra handled arrangements.
Memorials may be made to Cass County Hospice, Blessing Hospice or to Mount Olivet United Methodist Church.
