Billy Phillips, 60, of Winchester, passed away on Sunday, September 16, 2006, at St. Vincent Randolph Hospital in Winchester.

He was born in Shea, TN on November 28, 1945, to the late Isaac and Nancy (Carroll) Phillips. Billy drove a truck for Astral Carrier in Lynn for ten years and the last five years for Zumsteine Trucking in Lewisburg, Ohio. He enjoyed music, gardening and working on his tractor.

Survivors include his wife of 19 years, Judy F. (Roberts) Phillips of Winchester; 3 sons Scott & wife Jonna Jones; Kevin & wife Cheryl Jones; and Shane & wife Melanie Jones all of Winchester; a daughter, Kathy & husband John Allee and an adopted daughter, Shayla Phillips, both of Winchester; 4 brothers Tom & wife Bonnie Phillips of College Corner, IN; J.C. & wife Lorene Phillips of Richmond; Rendal & wife Jackie of Fayetteville, NC; and Dean & wife Joyce Phillips of Franklinton, NC; 3 sisters, Erma & husband Mick Richardson of College Corner, IN, Della & husband Charlie of Stedman, NC; and Nancy & husband Ernie Szymkowiak of Fayetteville, NC; also 9 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson.
Funeral services will be held at the Walker Funeral Home in Winchester on Wednesday, September 20, 2006, at 10:00 AM with Pastor Jerry Brumfield officiating. Burial will follow at the Fountain Park Cemetery in Winchester. Calling hours will be 4-8 PM on Tuesday, September 19 at Walker Funeral Home.
