WANATAH -- March 14 -- Ludwig Albert Werner, 70, life-long resident of Wanatah, died Monday night in his home after an illness of six months.
The decedent was born in Wanatah, March 25, 1878, the son of John and Sophia Werner. He was married to Pauline Keehn, September 26, 1905, and was employed as an assembler at Allis-Chalmers Mfg. Co., LaPorte. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, southeast of Wanatah.
Surviving are his wife; three sons, Raymond of Wanatah, Earl of Winamac and Willard of LaPorte; a daughter, Mrs. Vera Billerbeck of Wanatah; three brothers, Gust and William of Wanatah, and John of Francesville, Ind.; a sister, Mrs. Emma Graham of Hammond, and nine grandchildren.
Services will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the Boehlke Funeral Home, Wanatah, and at 2 p.m. at St. John's church. The Rev. A. Custer will officiate. Friends may call at the Boehlke Funeral Home Wednesday at 4 p.m. until time of services.
