"Mrs. Mae Humphrey, wife of George G. Humphrey, 212 Ryan Lane, died unexpectedly at 12:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the family home. She had been in failing health for the last five years. She was 68.
Memorial services will be held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Harry Clifton officiating. The body will lie in state at the chapel of the Norman Funeral Home until noon Saturday at which time it will be removed to the church to lie in state until the hour of the services. Burial will be in the family lot in Edgewood Cemetery.
Mae BeVelle, daughter of Walter L. BeVelle and Vena M. (Elliott) BeVelle, was born May 26, 1898 in Chillicothe. She spent her entire lifetime in Chillicothe, attended Chillicothe public schools and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. On May 13, 1933, she was married to Mr. Humphrey in Chillicothe.
Survivors are her husband of the home; two sons, Joseph Allen Humphrey of Chillicothe and Richard E. Owens of Wichita, Kansas; a daughter, Miss Lee Ann Humphrey of the home; and five grandchildren.
