"Mrs. Vena May Bevelle, 66, wife of Walter Lee Bevelle, died at the family home, 37 Herriford Street, Friday night at 9 o'clock. The body is at the Norman Funeral Home, from which place services will be held Monday afternoon a two o'clock, conducted by the Rev. L. W. Cleland, pastor of First Baptist Church. Burial will be in Edgewood.
She is survived by her husband and the following children: Everett Bevelle, Mrs. Osborn Anderson, Mrs. G. W. Humphrey, and Mrs. John Curtis, all of Chillicothe." The Chillicothe Constitution Tribune, April 16, 1938
