Martha Elizabeth Bevelle was the daughter of Walter Lee Bevelle and Vera May Elliott. She married Osborn Newton Anderson.
"Mrs. Martha Elizabeth (Mattie) Anderson, age 57, died Sunday morning at 9:15 o'clock at her home, 147 Stewart Avenue. She had been in failing health for several years.
Mrs. Anderson was born in Chillicothe on October 21, 1895, daughter of Walter and Vena (Elliott) Bevelle. She was married to O.N. (Ausie) Anderson on December 19, 1913.
Surviving are her husband and one sister, Mrs. George Humphrey of Chillicothe; one brother, Everett Bevelle of Kansas City; an uncle, Sam Bevelle of Kansas City; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the First Presbyterian Church, conducted by Rev. C.W. Spier. Interment will be made in the family lot in Hutchinson Cemetery. The body will be removed from the Gordon Home for Funerals to the church at 12:30 o'clock Wednesday to lie in state until 1:30." The Chillicothe Constitution Tribune, June 29, 1953
