Lester O. Garrett, 50, died at his home in Bountiful, Wednesday, of heart trouble and dropsy.

He suffered a stroke about six years ago and had been in poor health since, although he was confined to his bed but a week.

Mr. Garrett, a son of Henry and Annie Ashdown Garrett, was born in Bountiful June 16, 1881, and on June 18, 1903, married Emma Handy.

For many years previous to his illness six years ago he was an employee of the Oregon Short Line.

Besides his widow, he is survived by four daughters and sons Mrs. Elma Freeman, Riverton, Mrs. Mildred Ellis, Dona, Hazel and Owen Garrett, Bountiful; six brothers and sisters, George E. Garrett, Mrs Martha Wiseman and Mrs Ida Helpworth, Bountiful, David A. and Joseph B. Garrett, Salt Lake, Mrs. Mabel Keifer, Los Angeles, his stepmother, Mrs. Hannah Garrett, and seven half brothers and half sisters, Alfred E. and Charles R. Garrett, Mrs. Rose Burningham and Mrs. Elizabeth Atkinson, Bountiful, Jed and Edward Garrett, Salt Lake, Mrs. Lucy Barlow, Los Angeles.

Funeral services will be held in the Bountiful Tabernacle Sunday at 1 p.m. with the interment in Bountiful cemetery.
