Margie K. Johnson, 46, Martinsville, died at 10:50 a.m. Monday, April 16, 1990 in Union Hospital, Terre Haute, Ind.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Greenwell Funeral Home, Martinsville with the Rev. Jack Cunningham and the Rev. John Conover officiating. Burial was in Island Grove Cemetery.

She was born December 7, 1943 in Anderson Township, Clark County, Illinois, to Carl and Florence Miller Carpenter. She married Ralph Johnson, May 22, 1960.

She was a member of the Island Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Ralph; parents, Carl and Florence Carpenter, Martinsville; two sons, Rocky and Rusty, Martinsville; two daughters Karla Downey, Casey and Kimberly Johnson at home; one brother, Bill Carpenter, Martinsville; and three sisters, Arlene Lascelles, Barbara Simpson, and Maxine Janney, all of Martinsville.

She was preceded in death by one grandchild.
