Services for Minor P. Cooper, 70, of Lubbock will be at 11 am Tuesday at Ford Memorial Chapel of First Baptist Church with the Rev. Ted Cotten of Longview Wash., and the Rev Jim Gerlt of Indiana Avenue Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in City of Lubbock Cemetery under direction of Resthaven Funeral Home. He died Friday, August 9, 1996, at St. Mary Hospital. He was born in Ballinger and lived in Lubbock for 49 years. He married Genet Byrd in Decemeber 1947 in Lubbock. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and he was a member of Indiana Avenue Baptist Church. He retired from the appliance business. Survivors include his wife; twin daughters, Sherilyn Stephens and Marilyn Arland, both of Lubbock: a sister, Lucille Hennen of El Paso; two brothers, Harold and Arnold, both of Lubbock; and four grandchildren.
The Family will recive friends from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
