Mary Lois Luquer was born 23 Mar 1916, the younger of a set of twin daughters of Herbert & Annie Jane (Garrett) Luquer. She graduated from Jamestown High School in 1933. She and her twin never married. They went to work as folders for the Adams Millis hosiery mill and worked side by side until 1970 when her twin retired to care for their mother. Lois continued to work and retired from Adams Millis after over forty years of service. In her retirement she cared for her twin who was ill with cancer and for their father, who had infirmities of old age. She died of cancer July 9, 1989.
