Agnes Bolton is the daughter of William Henry Bolton of Va. and Sarah Southern of No. Carolina. Born in Cedar Co., Iowa one of 8 children. Her siblings are: James A., Olivia, Louisa, Virginia, George, John and Grace: all born in Cedar Co., Iowa.

On Sept. 11, 1866 she married Aaron W. Pearce a young soldier who had returned from the Civil War and who's family lived near hers.

They are the parents of 8 children: one son and seven daughters. Merrill 1867, Myrtle 1869, Estella 1872, Dessa 1877, Ethel 1879, Laura 1881, Eva Louisa 1883-1886, and Mary Ida 1884.

About 1876 they moved from Cedar Co., Ia to Macedonia, Pottawattamie Co., Iowa and farmed most of their lives in that area. Around 1915 they moved to Lincoln, Nebraska where several of their daughters lived.
