They are the parents of 8 children: one son and seven daughters. Merrill 1867, Myrtle 1869, Estella 1872, Dessa 1877, Ethel 1879, Laura 1881, Eva Louisa 1883-1886, and Mary Ida 1884.
About 1876 they moved from Cedar Co., Ia to Macedonia, Pottawattamie Co., Iowa and farmed most of their lives in that area. Around 1915 they moved to Lincoln, Nebraska where several of their daughters lived.
