Mrs. Jean L. Bush, 82, of Waynesburg, R. D. 1, formerly of Brownsville, died at 3 a. m. Friday, August 7, 1959, in the Greene County Memorial Hospital, Waynesburg, after a long illness.

She was born December 4, 1876, in West Finley Township, Washington County, a daughter of Henry Clinton Sprowls and Anna Mary Sprowls, and was the widow of Assemblyman Joseph K. Bush, who died December 1, 1957. The Bushes resided in Brownsville since 1906.

Mrs. Bush was a member of the Central Presbyterian Church, Brownsville, the Harmony Class of the church, the Brownsville Reading Circle and the Eastern Star. She sang in the church choir for a number of years. In recent years she had been living with a brother, Stanley S. Sprowls, of Waynesburg, R. D. 1.

In addition to Mr. Sprowls, Mrs. Bush leaves four other brothers, Forrest M., of Erie; Frank L., of Gary, Ind.; John C., of Wilmington, Del., and Okal L., of Claysville, R. D., and two sisters, Mrs. Della Bacon, of Greenville, and Mrs. Opal Glace, of Youngstown, Ohio.

BUSH - Friends of Mrs. Jean L. Bush, of Waynesburg, R. D. 1, formerly of Brownsville, who died Friday, August 7, 1959, will be received after 2 p. m. Saturday in The J. T. Ross Funeral Home, Brownsville, where services will be held at 1:30 p. m. Sunday, August 9. Burial in the West Finley Cemetery near Claysville.
