Okal M. Sprowls, 81, of 601 Sixth Avenue, McKeesport, died at 2:55 p. m. Saturday, June 2, 1979, in the McKeesport Hospital.

He was born April 1, 1898, in West Finley Township, a son of Henry Clinton and Anna Wallace Sprowls, and was the retired owner of the Sprowls and Reinhold Bottling Company of McKeesport.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of McKeesport; F.&A.M. Lodge No. 623, Washington, and the American Legion Post 639 of Claysville. A veteran of World War I, he served in the United States Army.

Surviving are his wife, Edythe Marrell (sic) Sprowls; one daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Ross, Elizabeth Township; one son, Richard A. Sprowls, Germantown, Md.; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

SPROWLS - Friends of Okal M. Sprowls, 601 Sixth Avenue, McKeesport, who died Saturday, June 2, 1979, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p. m. Monday and Tuesday in the Willig Funeral Home, 220 Ninth Street, McKeesport. The funeral will be conducted at 10:30 a. m. Wednesday, June 6, by the Rev. William R. Wilson, with a graveside service at 12:30 p. m., in the West Finley-Burnsville Cemetery.
