Mrs. Gladys Harriet Shannon Warren, widely known here through gift shops in the arcades, died yesterday in her home, 344 Overlook Park Drive N.E.(Cleveland) Her death was attributed to a heart attack. She was 78. - Mrs. Warren was the widow of Edward P. Warren. Together they were associated in the ownership and running of the Warren Publishing Co. and had the card and gift shops. Her husband died in 1951. She managed the gift shops until last year. Currently she had been doing jury duty in Common Pleas Court. Born near Coshocton, O., she taught schools in that county. After coming to Cleveland early in the century she worked for the Sherwin-Williams Co. Later she did secretarial work for the late Judge David C. Meck. She studied at the Tucker School of Dramatic Expression and was widely known for her readings, also identified with amateur dramatic presentations. Through an ancestor, Thomas E. Stone, a signer of the Declaration of Independence, she qualified for membership in the Daughters of the American Revolution. She had been a member of the Western Reserve Chapter for many years. Recently she was a delegate from her chapter to aid the fight in Washington fought the Bricker amendment to the Constitution limiting the treaty-making powers of the president. She was a member of the Beachland Presbyterian Church. Surviving are her two sons, five grandchildren and two brothers. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the S. H. Johnstown funeral home, 15314 Macauley Avenue N.E. Burial will be in Trumbull County. Retyped TJD2013 (I have a copy of the obituary but it has no source or dates.)

Find-a-Grave contributer, Gregory Square walked the entire cemetery and could only find one headstone for a Warren - that for Horace, Harriet & Priscilla. There was a couple of small headstones just in front and slightly to the left of the Warren's headstone - They read only, 'Father' and 'Mother'. They would appear to belong to Horace and Harriet/Priscilla. The only way to be certain is to contact the Trumbull Cemetery Sexton and see what their records say.
