Henry was born on the 2nd of January, 1869, in Baden - Wuerttemberg, Germany, the son of August & Mary [Herbst] Gerspacher. Henry died on the 17th of January, 1936, in Cleveland, Ohio, and was buried with his wife in West Lawn Cemetery, Canton, Stark County, Ohio. The father, August Gerspacher, was born on the 15th of August, 1843, in Germany, the son of John & Victoria Gerspacher, and died 19 September, 1917, in Chagrin Falls, Cuyahoga County, Ohio. The mother, Mary Herbst, was born in 1842, died 1906. August & Mary had seven or more children; Henry F. Gerspacher 1869-1936, married Martha E. Shannon; Caroline Gerspacher, born 3 July, 1870, died 1 December, 1940, married Joseph Luth; Emma Gerspacher, born 13 June, 1872, died 29 July, 1934, married Camille Monnet; Bertha Gerspacher, born 14 December, 1874, died 31 August, 1948, married Daniel D. Fulk; Frank Joseph Gerspacher, born 12 January, 1887, died 27 April, 1922, single, farmer; and Harry Gerspacher, born 21 August, 1888, died 4 June, 1910, single, farmer. Martha "Nettie" & Henry Gerspacher had three children; Clarence Gerspacher, born 28 March, 1892, died 7 May, 1952, married Edna O., had 2 children; Henry "Herbert" Gerspacher, born October, 1893; and Dr. Thomas S. "Frank Shannon, Warsaw, Route 2, received word of the death of his sister, Mrs. T.S. Gerspacher, 81, Cleveland, which occurred Tuesday evening after a two month illness. Martha Shannon was born October 3, 1872, in Monroe township, a daughter of Jeremiah and Sophia Jane Buckmaster Shannon and spent her early years in this county. Survivors include two sons, Dr. T.S. Gerspacher of Cleveland, and Herbert Gerspacher of Florida; one sister, Mrs. E.P Warren, Cleveland; two brothers, Robert L Shannon, Cleveland and Frank Shannon, Warsaw Route 2; several nieces and nephews.
