* Gladys Shannon was married to Edward Payson Warren on the ___ of _______, 1907, in _________ County, ________ (unknown date and location). Edward Payson Warren was born on the 24th of November, 1865, in Trumbull, Ashtabula County, Ohio, the son of Horace Austin & Harriet M. [Webb] Warren and grandson of Horace Austin 1799-1872 & Susan [Hathaway] Warren 1800-1913. Edward was the great-grandson of Nathan 1757-1827 & Persis [Sumner] Warren 1761-18??. Edward's father, Horace Austin Warren was born on the 12th of February, 1821, in Wilmington, Essex County, New York and died on the 9th of November, 1903, in Trumbull, Ashtabula County, Ohio. The mother, Harriet M. Webb, was born on the 13th of January, 1830, in New York, the daughter of Daniel & Harmony Webb. Records indicate both her parents were born in Massachusetts about 1802, and had also a son, the older brother of Harriet, Milton S. Webb, born May 1826, in LeRoy, New York. Gladys H. & Edward Warren had two sons; Robert Samuel Warren, born 5 June, 1908, in Cleveland, Ohio, died 20 June, 1982, in Cleveland, married Esta Marie Casterline on the 20th of April, 1935 in Ripley, New York, they had a son and three daughters; and Edward Payson Warren Jr., born 20 March, 1916, in Cleveland, died 20 March, 2003, married Dorma Marie Marsh on the 22nd of August, 1942, they had two daughters. The Warren family is a very large family that has been traced and documented back to the birth of John Warren in the year 1490, in Ashburton, County Devon, England. It seems the Warren family was at least one century in England and crossed over to Plymouth, Massachusetts in about the year 1580. My direct line was in Plymouth County, Mass., till about 1740, in Litchfield County, Connecticut; 1799 in Essex County, New York; and by 1850 in Ashtabula County, Ohio. For all available information on the Warren family, see the Warren family book by Todd J. Dean.
