CYRUS SHANNON PASSES AWAY AT SPRING MOUNTAIN

Hardening of the arteries caused the death of Cyrus W Shannon, aged 74, at his home in Monroe township near Spring Mountain this morning at 7:15 o'clock. He had been quite ill for the last two weeks. He was born and reared in Monroe tp., and was a farmer. He was married to Mary Jane Brillhart in 1880. The widow, one son, H B Shannon, and a daughter, Miss Edna Shannon, both of the home farm and the following brothers and sisters survive: W.B. Shannon, Akron; Robert Shannon, Mrs. Angela Raber, Mrs. Nettie Gerspacher, and Mrs. Gladys Warren, all of Cleveland; Frank Shannon, Monroe township, and Mrs. Annie Burchard of Nellie.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Spring Mountain Methodist Church by Rev. T.C. Stanley. Burial will be made in Spring Mountain Cemetery. Published: Coshocton Tribune (Coshocton, Ohio) Sat. Sept. 21, 1929.

SHANNON, Monroe township; born April, 1855, in Clark township, Coshocton county, Ohio; son of Jeremiah and Sophia (Buckmaster) Shannon, and grandson of Isaac and Sarah (Stone) Shannon, and Richard and Elizabeth (Mattock) Buckmaster He has spent the most of his life thus far in educating himself.
