Rites in Springville For Mrs. R. J. Woods
Gladys Marie Klopp Woods, 50, widow of Richard Jay Woods and a Springville resident for 20 years, died Sunday at a Cedar Rapids hospital.
She was born November 10, 1917, at Marion, where she resided until 20 years ago. On July 3, 1937, she was married at Burnside, Iowa, to Richard Jay Woods. Mr. Woods died September 16, 1966.
She is survived by a son, Thomas Lee Woods, and a daughter, Carol Woods, both of Springville; two grandchildren; three brothers, Lloyd Klopp of Marion, Loren Klopp of Center Point and Orlan Klopp of Walker; and three sisters, Miss Erma Klopp and Mrs. Lester Cleveland, both of Cedar Rapids, and Ida Bruce of Greenville, South Carolina.
Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Springville United Methodist church conducted by the Rev. Clyde C. Scott of Springville. Friends may call at the Murdoch funeral home in Marion after 7 p.m. Monday until 9 p.m. Tuesday.
