Funeral services were held from Maple Grove St. Michael Church Monday for Mrs. Rosa Gross, 74 widow of Peter Gross. Rev. Fr. Michael H. Wolf officiated and burial was in St. MIchael Cemetery. Rosary was recited at the O'Hare Funeral Home in New Lothrop Sunday night . Mrs. Gross was born in Maple Grove Township July 8, 1886, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Casper Amman and died at Memorial Hospital Friday. She had lived in the community all of her life. She was married to Peter Gross March 3, 1908. He passed away five years ago. She was a member of St. Anne Altar Society and the League of Catholic Women. Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Schlachter of Chesaning, and Mrs. Pauline Henry of Detroit; four sons, Walter and Victor of New Lothrop, Harold of Chesaning, and Philinus of Lincoln Park; 34 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs.Anna Wrockledge and a brother, Joseph Amman both of Chesaning. d-Sept. 30,1960
