Funeral services were held at the Catholic church Sleepy Eye, Minn., Monday morning, May 1, 10:00 with a Solomn High Mass for Leo J. Hoffmann, 50, who lost his life in a car-truck accident Friday morning, April 28 at 11:00 o'clock. He was born at Granville, Iowa oldest child of Eugene and Elizabeth (Boever) Hoffmann. He attended St. Joseph School, Granville before moving with his parents to Sleepy Eye, Minn. where he was later married to Rose Mary Bertrand and farmed there.
He is survived by his wife and 7 children. Two daughters are Nuns. 2 daughters and 3 sons reside at home. Also 6 sisters and 4 brothers. Relatives attending where Mrs. Art Schemmel of Granville, Mrs. Irene Schnee of Alton and others from Remsen, Sioux City, Ledyard, Iowa and various parts of Minnesota and South Dakota.
