Mrs. Eugene Hoffman (Elizabeth Boever), formerly of Granville, Iowa died on Friday, Feb 14th, at the hospital at New Ulm where she was taken from her home at Sleepy Eye, Minnesota.

Elizabeth (Boever) Hoffman was born on August 5, 1884 in Granville, Iowa to John H. and Margaret (Welter) Boever.

Elizabeth was married to Eugene Hoffmann on February 12, 1910 in St. Joseph's church in Granville, Iowa. Seventeen years ago the family moved to a farm three and a half miles from Sleepy Eye, Minnesota.

She is survived by her husband; children, Leo, Margaret, (Mrs. Ambrose Bertrand), Hilda,(Mrs. Lawrence Fritz), Esther,(Mrs. Raymond Miller), Kathryn, (Mrs. Leonard Boyer), Marcel, Arthur, Edgar, Elizabeth, and Eugene, Jr. at home; also by 6 grandchildren and by five brothers and five sisters, who are Peter Boever, Belgrade, Minn.; Mike Boever, Dell Rapids, SD; Frank Boever and Mrs. Cyril Haag, Ledyard, IA; Mrs. Zeno Budden, Sioux City; Mrs. Henry Schnee, Remsen; John Boever, Marcus; Mrs. Mary Roder, Herman Boever and Mrs. Arthur Schemmel, Granville.

Mrs. Hoffman was a devoted wife and mother, a faithful member of St. Mary's church at Sleepy Eye and a member of the Catholic Mother Society.

Solemn requiem high mass was held Monday, Feb. 17th at 9 am at St. Mary's church, Sleepy Eye, with interment in St. Mary's cemetary.

Pallbearers were Pat Thier, Leo Goldsmith, Jack Lux, Pete David, George Brondel and Paul Neyers, all of Sleepy Eye.

Relatives present from a distance were Mr. and Mrs. Peter Boever and son, Raymond, Belgrade, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Mike Boever, Dell Rapids, S.D.; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Boever and sons; Mr. and Mrs. Cyril Haag, Ledyard; Mrs Wm. Schneider, Bankcroft; Mrs Zeno Budden and son, Clarence, Sioux City; John Boever, Marcus; Mr. and Mrs. John Boever, Le Mars; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Schnee, Remsen; Mr. and Mrs. Math. Boever, Walnut Grove, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Rayer, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Miller, Minton, Kansas; Mrs. Mary Roder and son, Norbert, Herman Boever, Donald and Margie, Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Schemmel and Mrs Henry Ricker, all of Granville.
