Mrs. Hannah Redfern, 84, Yarmouth, former resident of Burlington, died at 7 a.m. Sunday (December 27, 1964), at the Metz Nursing home in Donnellson.
The former Hannah Broeker, she was born in Prairie Grove, March 8, 1880, the daughter of Frederick and Wilhelmine Winzel Broeker. She married Ray Redfern, January 22, 1904, in Burlington. He died November 11, 1937. Mrs. Redfern was a member of the Oak Street Baptist church.
Survivors include two sons, Carroll I. of Donnellson, and Kenneth B. of Yarmouth; three daughters, Mrs. Bessie Kurtz, Kanawha, Iowa, Mrs. Francis Hundt of Yarmouth, and Mrs Lola Hundt of Pekin, Illinois; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Mrs. Emma Hillen, Monmouth, Illinois, Louise Broeker, Mt. Vernon Ohio, and Mrs. Elsie Rhodes, De Barry, Florida.
Services will be Tuesday at 2 o'clock at the Elliott Chapel New London, with the Reverend Howard Johnson officiating Burial will be in Trinity cemetery, six miles north of New London.
