Winfield (IA) -- Edward W. Broeker, 68-year-old retired farmer and implement company employee, died at his home in Winfield September 27 (1951).
Broeker was the son of Frederick and Wilhelmenia Vinzle (sic: Winsel) Broeker, and was born near Prairie Grove on September 12, 1883. On November 24, 1909, he was married at Burlington to Amy Michaels, and they farmed for many years in Des Moines and Henry counties. Upon retiring from the farm, they moved to Winfield, where Broeker worked for Maxwell & Hillyard Farm Implement & Hardware company until 1950.
The widow survives, as do 2 sons, Edward Broeker, Jr., of Burlington, and Fred D. Broeker, of Winfield, and a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Nichols, San Antonio, Texas.
Also surviving are a brother, Ferdinand Broeker, of Burlington, and 6 sisters: Mrs. Emma Hillen, Monmouth, Illinois; Mrs. Bert Fischer, New London; Mrs. Elsie Rhodes, Ft. Lauderville (sic), Florida; Louise Broeker, Mt. Vernon, Ohio, and Mrs. Anna Brenneke and Mrs. Hannah Redfern, both of Burlington. There are 8 grandchildren.
The body is at the Elliott Chapel in New London.

The body is at the Elliott Chapel in New London.
