She was baptized on February 4, 1923 at St. Peter's United Evangelical Lutheran Church, Ceres, Iowa and Confirmed on July 4, 1937 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Garnavillo, Iowa.
On February 14, 1942, she was united in marriage to Earl Clefisch at St. Peter's United Evangelical Lutheran Church, Ceres.
They made their home on a farm outside of Garber, Iowa until they moved to Waverly, Iowa in 1969. Romilda worked for the Maintenance Department of Wartburg College, Waverly, Iowa for twenty years. They moved to Minnesota in 2000 to be closer to family.
Romilda enjoyed her family, quilting, writing letters and cooking.
Romilda is survived by her husband, Earl; children: Lewin (Larrel), Moorhead, MN; daughters, Linda, Golden, CO, and Dixie (John) Thompson, Attica, KS; grandchildren Krystel (Christopher) Hyer, Cincinnati, OH, and Nathaniel, Erhard, MN, Chris (Mindy) Thompson, Eaton Rapids, MI, and Nancy (Gary) Coates, Bloomfield Hills, MI; and by great-grandchildren, Adarius, Haylee, Sophia and Madelyn, Ashley, Hope, Catherine and Matthew.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Robert and a son David.
