Mrs. Barlow, 69, a native of Simpson County, had resided in Jackson for many years. She was stricken with a sudden illness on Friday, January 30, and was pronounced dead upon arrival at a Jackson hospital. She was a member of the Pass Road Baptist Church in Gulfport.
She is survived by her husband Clarence Barlow, Gulfport; two sons, James W. Gowan, D'Lo; A.J. Gowan, Jackson; two daughters, Mrs. Elizine Thompson, D'Lo and Mrs. Aline Kelly of Gulfport; 23 grand children and 6 great grand children; three brothers, Joe Tony, Magee; Geoge Tony, Rayville, La.; Dan Tony, Rayville, La.; one sister, Mrs. Mattie May, Magee.
