Services for Mrs. Mattie Lee May, 90, of Rt. 4, Mendenhall, were held Monday, January 9, 1978, at 2:00 p.m. from Mims Mitchell Chapel with interment in Macedonia Cemetery. Rev. Dan Watts and Rev. Paul Roberts were the officiating ministers. Mrs. May, a member of Goodwater Baptist Church and retired Sanatorium employee, died January 8 at Magee General Hospital following a lengthy illness.

Survivors include two step-daughters, Mrs. Margie McWilliam, Weathersby; Mrs. Sammye Fuller, San Juan, Texas; one step-son, Jack May, Raymondville, Texas; one brother, Joe Toney, Magee, and a number of nieces and nephews. Mims Mitchell Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.
