William Wesley Ashmore was the son of Robert Ashmore and Elizabeth Clifton Ashmore, married Martha Mae Johnson, daughter if James Johnson and Beukah Harrier Johnson, on December 25, 1900 in Quaker, Indiana.
William Wesley Ashmore, 80, of 313 S. Jefferson Street, died at his home at 2 a.m. Saturday, February 15, 1958. He had been ill for 17 months. He was born December 25, 1877 in Ridge Farm, the son of Robert Ashmore and Elizabeth Clifton Ashmore and resided in Danville, Illinois for 37 years.
He was a member of the Church of Christ and the Modern Woodman. He was retired and had worked for Somers Hardware.
Surviving are his wife, Martha Mae Johnson Ashmore, four daughters, Mrs. W. Thomas of Danville, Illinois, Mrs. Lois Leverich of Champaign, Illinois, Mrs. Beulah Bran of Hammond, Indiana and Mrs. Pearl Merklin of New Your, New York; two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Canpbell of Danville, Illinois and Mrs. Lillian Tarrant of Catlin, Illinois, and two grandchildren.
The parents, one brother and three sisters preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be at 2:30 p. m. Monday at Barrick & Son Funeral Homewith the Rev. Dallas Newby officiating.
Burial will be in Georgetown Cemetery.
The body is at Barrick & Son Funeral Home.
