DEATH OF ROBERT
ALEXANDER ASHMORE

Robert Alexander Ashmore died at his home near Humrick, Illinois, on Wednesday of last week, after a six months illness with Bright's disease. Deceased was born in Clark county, Illinois, in 1830, being 73 years of age at the time of his death. The greater portion of his life was spent in his native county. In 1891, he moved to this township, locating on a farm three miles southwest of here. After three years residence in Indiana he moved onto a farm near Humrick, Illinois, where he spent the balance of his days. Deceased was married to Elizabeth Clifton in 1871. The widow and seven children survive. Mr. Ashmore was a highly respected citizen in his community. He was a devoted husband and a kind and an affectionate father. He was a member of the Presbyterian church.
The funeral was held at 11 o'clock on Friday morning of last week from the Yankee Point church, Rev. Cooley of Ridgefarm officiating. Interment was made in the Yankee Point cemetery.
