Bamberg July 9 -- Mrs Anna Sanders Moody, 60, died at her home here following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held at her home at 4:30 Tuesday afternoon with her pastor, Rev F L Frazier, officiating, assisted by the Rev W O Henderson of Scranton, a former pastor. Interment will be in the family plot at South End Cemetery.
The daughter of the late J W Sanders and Rivanna Creech Sanders, Mrs Moody was born in old Barnwell County. At the age of eight, she came to Bamberg, where she had since lived.
Her husband, John Moody, died 6 years ago. Survivors include 4 daughters, Mrs D B Worsham and MIss Lois Moody of Bamberg, Mrs C L Smith of Hartsville, and Mrs George C Bailey of Charleston; two sons, W L Moody of Sumter and Colie Moody of Charleston; three sisters, Miss Sallie Sanders of Bamberg, Mrs J C Varn of Orangeburg, and Mrs J H Yelton of Kings Mountain, NC; one brother, J W Sanders of Orangeburg; one half brother, R R Creech of near Ehrhardt; and seven grandchildren. Mrs Moody was a devoted member of South Side Methodist Church.
