A funeral for Larry D. Fritz was Thur., Oct 27, at the Bader-Rozanek-Lawson Colonial Funeral Home here with the Rev. Donald L. Haake officiating. Mrs. John Katz, organist, accompanied vocalist Forrest Harding to provide music. Pallbearers were Clarence merchant, Jr., Robert Smeal, Cloyd Kuber, John Naurkel, Claus Matson and Terry Knapp. Military graveside services, by V.F.W. Post 854 and American Legion Post 20, and burial were at the Memorial Cemetery in Fremont. Lary Dean Fritz, son of James H. and Julia Fritz was born September 6, 1941, in Merna and died October 23 in Fremont. In 1952 he moved with his parents to Charleston, Ore., where he received his schooling. He served two years active duty in the U.S. Navy and was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 854 American Legion Post 20 and Small Town Talkers C.B. Radio Club. After returning to Nebraska he met and married Yvonne Branham on December 15, 1966 at Fremont. To their union one son and two daughters were born. The past four years he had been employed by Valemont Co. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He had been baptized by his uncle, Walter Fritz. Larry kept his faith and trusted in God. He loved and enjoyed life. He leaves to mourn his death, his wife, Yvonne; daughters, Lisa Marie, 10 and Nancy Louise, 9; his parents James and Julia Fritz of Broken Bow; seven sisters, Lousie Matson and Arlene Vyhlidal of Fremont, Darlene Naurkal of Dodge, Ne., Donita Krumback of Kearney, Vivian Mecham of Carbin, Nev., Judy Smith of Cottage Grove, Ore., and Betty Zwicker of Cornelius , Ore.; two brothers, Leonard of Lonelock, Nev., and Duane of Grants Pass, Ore.; several nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and one brother, Lyle.
