Mildred married Charles L. Lindgren November 28, 1945 in Amberg, WI. He preceded her in death on July 30 1987. Shortly after the birth of her daughter she was afflicted with polio, which confined her to a wheelchair for the past fifty years. In spite of her physical handicap she was an active homemaker, wonderful wife and mother and grandmother. She lived for her flowers, feeding and watching birds, crocheting and listening to her favorite Christian radio station WHWL. She enjoyed cooking, entertaining and going out for coffee with family and friends. She was an active and faithful member of the Central Baptist Church.
Mildred is survived by one daughter, Sally (Ron) Harris of Stephenson, two grandsons, Lon (Sherril) Harris of Escanaba, MI and Chuck Harris of Menominee, MI; two great-grandchildren John and Zoey Lyn. Three sisters Arleen Messenger of Amberg, WI, Helen Johnson of Wichita, KS, and Joyce Conley of Jackson, MI, one brother Duane (Pearl) Andrist of Elgin, IL. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Harland, Lester, Leon and Sydney and one sister, Fae Hallfrisch.
Services will be held May 4th 2005 at the Central Baptist church, Stephenson, MI with Reverend Mitch Martin officiating. Burial will be in Lost Lake Covenant Cemetery.
