Mrs. Violet Blackburn Rogers died Monday after a long illness in Temple City, Calif.
She was born May 27, 1906 in Horry County, S.C.
Surviving are her stepmother, Mrs. Edna Blackburn of Wilmington; three daughters, Mrs. Carrie Piner of Wilmington, Mrs. Ann Helms of St. Charles, Ill., and Mrs. Bobie Leake of Streamwood, Ill.; three sons, Dan Rogers of El Monte, Calif., Wallace Rogers of Ocean Drive, S.C., and John Rogers of Temple City, Calif; four sisters, Mrs. JoAnn Kerr of Wilmington, Mrs. Ida Mable Cox of Loris, S.C., Mrs. Estelle Blackburn of Tampa, Fla., and Mrs. Pauline Small of Calif.; four brothers, Guy Blackburn of Loris, S.C., Paul Blackburn Alexandria, Va., Bill Blackburn of Georgia, and Jack Blackburn of Wilmington; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
