Mazie Andrick of Palestine passed away Jan. 29, 2003, in Jackson General Hospital, Ripley.
She had been a resident of Elder Care of Ripley. She was born in Newton, Roane County, the daughter of the late Foster and Amma Jarvis Allen. She was a substitute cook for the Wirt County Schools for more than 20 years. She was a member of the Pisgah United Methodist Church, Order of the Eastern Star 113, Elizabeth, and prior to her illness, she was a member of the Palestine Homemakers Club and a member of several area western square dance groups.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Preston Andrick; one son, Herbert and Deborah Andrick of Bridgeport; two daughters, Darlene and Dexter Graham of Washington and Sally Borum of Kissimee, Fla.; one brother, Waldo Allen of Long Bottom; one sister, Vonnie McDaniel of Parkersburg; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Elber Allen.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Matheny-Pomroy Funeral Home, Elizabeth with the Rev. Danny McVey officiating. Burial will be in Pisgah Cemetery, Palestine. Friends may call from 5-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with an Order of the Eastern service at 7 p.m. and from 9 a.m. until the time of service Saturday.
