Waldo F. Allen, 93 of Yuma, AZ. passed away September 30, 2019. He was born in Newton, WV. the son of the late Foster and Amma Jarvis Allen.

He was a Navy veteran of World War II serving aboard the Destroyer U.S.S. Ahrens from March of 1944 to May of 1946. He returned home and married his "Honey" of more than 60 years, Martha P. Corbitt Allen.

He worked for many years in construction with the Carpenters Union Local 899. After his retirement he moved to Florida and after his wife's passing he moved to Yuma AZ. to enjoy the warmer weather.

He enjoyed gardening, hiking and was a very hard worker. He had a wonderful sense of humor and loved practical jokes. He loved his family and enjoyed time with them and his church friends.

He is survived by his children, Sandra K. Allen of Toledo, OH. and Connie S. Honsinger of Parkersburg. His grandchildren, Greg Allen (Heather) of Coolville, Becki Tanner (Chuck) of Walker, WV. and Cathy Somers (Kevin) of Toledo, OH. His great grandchildren, Courtney and Tiffany Allen, Emily and Matt Hobbs and Jacob Somers and one great great granddaughter, Kennedy Hobbs. One sister, Vonnie McDaniel (Ronnie) of Parkersburg.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Martha; His brother, Elber Allen and his sister, Mazie Andrick.

It was Waldo's request that his body be donated to Science Care in Arizona.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 26th, 2:00 pm at the Leavitt Funeral Home of Belpre with visitation from 12:00 pm- 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
